I am a Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Colorado.  My research and teaching focus on political economy and I am presently involved in projects examining the causes and consequences of international migration, the determinants of cross-border capital flows, the relationship between political information and financial market performance, and the compatibility of democracy with globalization.  I presently serve as secretary/treasurer of the American Political Science Association’s organized section on Political Economy and as member of the International Political Economy section of the Social Science Research Network.
